Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Cyberdoku (“we”, “the game”, “this site”) collects and how it is used.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: If you create an account, we store your chosen username and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text. You may optionally add an email address, which we use only to send you a password-reset link if you request one.
- Gameplay data: Your best scores and any custom themes you create are stored so they can appear on the leaderboard and follow your account across devices. Your username and score are shown publicly on the leaderboard.
- Information stored on your device: The game uses your browser’s local storage to remember your high score, theme preferences, and (when signed in) a login token. This stays on your device.
- Technical data: Our servers and our network provider (Cloudflare) process standard technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site, keep it secure, and limit abuse.
- Usage analytics: We use our own self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics (GoatCounter) to understand how the game is used — for example page views, referrers, and which features are popular. It is cookieless, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across other websites.
- Purchase records: If you buy an optional unlock (see “Purchases and payments” below), we store a record that your account made the purchase — such as the item and an order reference — so we can apply it to your account. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
2. Cookies and advertising
- The game itself uses local storage rather than cookies for its own features.
- We show advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and, where permitted, personalize ads and measure their performance. Learn more at Google’s advertising policies and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- If you are in a region that requires it (such as the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), you will be asked for consent before personalized advertising cookies are used.
3. Purchases and payments
Cyberdoku offers optional one-time purchases, such as an ad-free unlock and individual themes. These payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our authorized reseller and merchant of record.
- When you make a purchase, you provide your payment details directly to Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- Lemon Squeezy processes information such as your name, email address, billing details and location (for example, to calculate tax) under its own Privacy Policy.
- We receive only confirmation of the purchase and an order reference, which we store to unlock the item on your account.
4. How we use information
To run the game and its leaderboard, sync your account across devices, secure the service and prevent abuse, process optional purchases, and to display advertising.
5. Third parties
We use Google AdSense (advertising), Lemon Squeezy (payment processing and merchant of record for purchases), Resend (to send password-reset emails, if you've added an email address), and Cloudflare (content delivery and security). Our usage analytics are self-hosted (GoatCounter) and are not shared with any third-party analytics provider. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention and deletion
Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. To request access to, or deletion of, your account and data, contact us at [email protected].
7. Children
Cyberdoku is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Your choices and rights
You can play without an account. You can clear the data stored on your device by clearing your browser storage. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete your data — contact us at [email protected].
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
