Frequently asked questions

Is Cyberdoku free to play?

Yes — completely free in your web browser, with no download or installation. There's an optional one-time purchase to remove ads and unlock premium themes if you'd like to support the game, but it's never required to play.

Do I need an account?

No. You can start playing straight away. An account is only needed if you want to save your high score across devices, appear on the public leaderboards, keep unlocked themes, or duel friends.

Why did my game end?

The game ends when none of your three current pieces can be placed anywhere on the board. In classic mode a new set of pieces is always chosen so at least one fits while the board has room — so a game over means you're genuinely out of moves with the pieces you were dealt.

How is my score saved?

Your personal best is stored on your device, and also on your account when you're signed in. Signed-in scores are automatically added to the leaderboards at the end of each game. There are four boards to climb — Today, This Week, This Month, and All-time.

How does the Daily Challenge work?

Once a day, every player receives exactly the same sequence of pieces, generated from the date itself. Unlike classic mode the sequence doesn't adapt to your board — making it work is the challenge. You get three attempts, your best one counts, and progress is saved mid-attempt (so refreshing can't reroll a bad start). A fresh challenge arrives at midnight UTC, and keeping a daily habit builds a streak.

What are VS duels?

A duel is a one-on-one on the same seeded set of pieces — highest score wins. You can challenge a friend directly in-game (add them by username to your friends list), or share a link so anyone can play the same pieces. Signed-in players build a head-to-head record and can rematch with a tap.

How do themes work?

Everyone gets the built-in themes (Cyber Neon, Classic Wood, Industrial Gunmetal). Beyond those, some themes are earned by playing — hitting milestones like daily streaks, games played, or a high score, or catching a limited-time seasonal theme — and some are available in the Store, either as part of the ad-free Theme Pass or as individual purchases. Locked themes show up as goals, and unlocked themes follow your account across devices. Tap any locked theme to preview it on a full board first.

What does the ad-free purchase include?

A single one-time purchase removes ads and unlocks all premium themes on your account, on every device you sign in on. It's optional — the game is fully playable for free.

I forgot my password — can I reset it?

Yes, if you've added an email to your account (under Account). Choose Forgot password? on the login screen, enter your username, and we'll email you a reset link. If you didn't add an email, or the link doesn't arrive, email [email protected] and we'll help you back in.

Can I install Cyberdoku as an app?

Yes. On iPhone, open the Share menu in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen; on Android and desktop Chrome, use the Install option in the browser menu. You get a proper app icon and full-screen play, and the core game works offline — no app store needed.
